This is me with my husband, Perry, and our cat, Julep. They are two of my favorite people (yes, cats are people too) in the world.

How long have you been a photographer?
I picked up my first film camera, a now beloved Canon AE-1, when I was 15, and have loved photography ever since. I started out professionally shooting concerts and art events over ten years ago, and have been shooting weddings and families for the past four years.

What education do you have in photography?
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. While I majored in textile art, I completed a separate concentration/minor in photography.

Is this your full time job?
Photography is my passion, but it is not currently my full time job.

What kind of equipment do you use?
I use professional Canon cameras and lenses.

What do you do for fun?
I love hiking, mushroom hunting, and gardening, but I’m also perfectly content hanging out at home with a cat in my lap binge-watching Gilmore Girls for the 100th time. :)

How would you describe your work?
I’m always looking for the magic. I have the standard wedding shot list engraved in my head, but I’m always looking for the scenes that fall outside of that list. My work has always been about capturing the small, quiet, easily-overlooked moments that fall between the big ones.

How can I find out more about your pricing?
Send me a note! Full pricing is available by request, with weddings starting at $1250 and portrait sessions starting at $200.
